Henry Schein Opens Integrated Dental-Medical Training Facility in Texas

Henry Schein opened the Dallas Discovery Center, an 8,300-square-foot integrated dental-medical training facility in Southlake, Texas, marking the company's first facility designed to bridge dental and medical practice education.

Announced March 5, 2026, the center features fully equipped exam room demonstrations, laboratories, an ambulatory surgery center site, a dental equipment showroom, and immersive learning environments. The facility is designed to serve as both a product showcase and a continuing education hub for practitioners.

The strategic significance goes beyond real estate. By building a facility that explicitly integrates dental and medical training, Henry Schein is positioning for a future where the traditional separation between dental and medical care continues to erode. Medical-dental integration is already a growing trend in DSO operations, federally qualified health centers, and hospital-affiliated dental clinics.

For independent practitioners and DSO operators, the facility represents a resource for evaluating technology investments in a hands-on environment — from digital imaging to surgical equipment — without the pressure of a sales floor. The Southlake location places it in the heart of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, one of the fastest-growing dental markets in the country.
